TASK 2. Do you think all new schools will be like this in the future? What green activities do
you do at your school?
One of the entries -
Every school can be green school is there is a strong will from the school staffs both headmaster, teachers, and
students. For example in schools where I teach, it is placed near the main highway but surrounded by farm land
and some villagers’ home. In front of it flows a small river branch Brantas river. To reach my school, I
must pass a road along large farm and the path next to that small river.
Actually my school has been green based on the situation but we still do green activities. We do simple things
like putting rubbish into the rubbish bin and the food sellers too they must collect their trash before leaving
school. In addition, for the gate, we do not use metal gate, we plant some short trees around the school. It’s
called Beluntas. This plant can be used as herbal medicine and also cooked as vegetables.
When I read your latest magazine discussing about Tunas Hijau activities, I have idea how if Tunas Hijau members
come to my hometown especially my school to teach and train my students in order they can care more to their environment.
