| Many KGCCs have sent in reports about camping activities that they
have undertaken. These types of outdoor activities really get Club members
involved and are a great way to strengthen relationships among Club members.
Most importantly many interesting things can be done on a camping trip to
learn and improve English together.
Australians love camping too. Camping in Australia is almost
a national past-time. Aussies love to go camping at the beach, out in
the bush or even far out beyond the black stump. |
This is often done during school holidays or even long weekends.Camping
equipment includes tents, cooking equipment for open fires, bush showers
and sleeping bags. People often use 4 wheel drive vehicles such as Toyota
Land Cruisers when they go camping especially if the campsite is at the
beach or in the outback. While camping people do many different sorts of
activities. Sometimes they go fishing, go bush-walking or just laze around
the campfire and relax. The most important thing is that they are outdoors
in the fresh air and away from the modern world of telephones, televisions
and traffic.

As we have suggested before to the ‘older’ Clubs in the network, the latest Clubs should begin corresponding with other Clubs as soon as possible. This form of contact is a terrific way to make new friends, find out about other Clubs and groups AND of course to practise English. Don’t try to write to a lot of Clubs but just choose two or three that sound interesting to you or Clubs that are in a location that you want to know more about.
