Vocabulary Corner

In the Pouch Survey 2002, several clubs suggested a vocab section. Here’s a brief listing of some of the many compound words starting in cyber:

There are several matters that need clarification at the moment. Please take note!

  • We are unable to send enough copies of the POUCH for all members of your club. Please understand this. Make sure that the copies that you do receive are made available to all members to read. One easy way to do this is by sticking each side of two copies of the POUCH on the notice board for members to read.
  • There is not enough feedback from Clubs concerning the Clubs’ use of the POUCH in meetings, the free Reading Sets that you received last August. Did you use them or not? KGRE requires significant feedback on those Reading Class Sets if you want an April 2003 Set sent to you.

The KGRE Chat Line is now operating everyday, all day. We have had some problems with DalNet so be patient if you cannot get through. If you wish to chat with KGRE staff or people at IALF Bali, then the best time to log on is 14.00 - 16.00 WITA each week of the day. Go to the website and look for the Chat button, then follow the simple instructions. They are even in Bahasa Indonesia. Chatting has begun and we have lots of fun already with prizes already given away. You never know, you may find some Aussies on there as well.

Have you tried it yet?

In the latest statistics for the KGRE webpag, over 44% of the people who log onto the KGRE website look at the FORUM Page. This makes that page the most popular page of all. Have you tried it yet? Log on and leave a message OR log on and read a message left by somebody else. It is a great place to find penpals as many Club members have already found.

Increasing Membership

Many Clubs asked for ideas how they can increase the membership numbers in their Club. Do you have any ideas? Please send them to KGRE as soon as possible so that we can pass them onto the other Clubs.
