We have a saying here at Kang Guru Radio English: “Good Neighbours Make Good Friends”. This means people living close to each other should help each at all times, in both the good times and the bad times. An idiom to describe this is - willing to lend a hand.

How many English words of three letters or more can you make from the idiom - willing to lend a hand? For example:

3 letters
4 letters
5 letters
and
deal
thing

You should only use each letter once in each word. You can score one point for each three letter word, two points for each four letter word and five points for words of over four letters. Good Luck!

Of course you can adapt this and use it with any word or phrase you choose. Try some of these:

Hit the nail on the head Green with envy
Burn the candle at both ends Caught red handed
Under the weather Hold your horses
