Movie Review

“The Incredibles” is an animated film about a family of superheroes. It is made by Pixar, the same company who made “Toy Story”, “Finding Nemo” and “Monsters Inc”. But is it as good as these other films?
The movie starts with great speed and action. It begins with the main character, Mr Incredible, having a “normal” day. Mr Incredible saves an old lady’s cat and then stops a police car chase by hitting the criminals’ car with a tree. Next, as he chases a burglar, he meets another superhero called Elastigirl. Elastigirl can stretch her elastic body like rubber. Then he rescues a man who jumps from a skyscrapper (a very tall modern building).

After that he is trying to stop a bank robbery but a boy comes along and gets in his way. This boy, called Buddy, wants to be his sidekick, or his partner. Like Batman and his sidekick, Robin. But Mr Incredible prefers to do his job alone. Buddy seems very angry with this. What will he do? Finally Mr Incredible arrives late to his own wedding to Elastigirl. That all happens in the first few minutes of the film. Next something bad happens to all the superheroes. The people in the city become angry with the superheroes. They complain that the superheroes sometimes save people who don’t want to be saved. They say the superheroes cause a lot of damage. Finally, the government tells the superheroes not to use their powers. They have to give up their superhero jobs and become normal people, with normal lives and jobs.

But can Mr. Incredible live like a normal man? Can he do a boring office job every day? Can Mr Incredible forget that he was once famous? What about his children. Do they have superpowers too? Watch it and see what happens.

The Incredibles The real magic of The Incredibles is the characters, just like in Finding Nemo. The characters are interesting, fun and they are all different from each other. It’s easy to forget these characters are drawings and not real actors. Their faces and their expressions are quite realistic. The animation is amazing, as usual.
