What's the Meaning? |
Can clubs and members become language teachers and explain these expat language problems? Help Us! 1. kelupaan - The dictionary tells me that kelupaan means either to forget something or it means forgetful. I do not understand this. I was taught that adding ke___an to an adjective such as cantik becomes kecantikan which is a noun, yeah? So how come lupa with ke___an becomes a verb - to forget? 2. kita and kami - give some practical hints for people who are just beginning to study Bahasa Indonesia. Which is which? |

5. He could lead if he would get the lead out. |

These sentences are quite difficult to understand. You will
need a dictionary to help you.
The difficulty is with the different types of words, mainly nouns and verbs.
He could lead (verb) if he would get the lead (noun) out.
Suggestions for Club Activity |
Life can be both fantastic but also difficult sometimes. People have wonderful experiences with other people by going to different places and by enjoying a comfortable lifestyle. At other times they may have problems with employment, money, their families or their schools.
KGRE Discussion Task - think about your local community and try to identify just two of the major problems facing young people in your community. Also discuss two positive aspects about young people in your local community.
Begin your club discussions in Bahasa Indonesia. By beginning in this way everyone will feel more comfortable. They will be more likely to give their ideas. As the discussion continues start talking about the basic ideas and oppinions using a bit of English. This may take several weeks as members slowly convert their ideas from bahasa Indonesia into English. PLEASE do this together as a group, okay? Send your ideas to KGRE before the end of January 2005. KGRE hopes to use your ideas on the radio program early next year.
