Australia and Indonesia signed an agreement on Wednesday 28th of May, for Australia to build a new two-storey Intensive Care Centre at Sanglah Hospital to upgrade other facilities at the hospital at a cost of $3.6 million. The new Intensive Care Centre will house an Intensive Care Unit, an Intensive Cardiac Care Unit and a Burns Unit with a dedicated operating theatre. In addition, the morgue at Sanglah will be refurbished and a new incinerator and upgraged water supply will be installed. The work associated with the package is expected to begin in June and be completed early in 2004. In addition, Australia is having discussions with The Bali Department of Health and Sanglah Hospital to determine the most effective form of A$900,000 assistance to Bali’s emergency care initiative.

August 2003 Reading Class Sets

The latest August Reading Sets are the best so far. Well, we think so anyway and that’s what the Clubs are already saying in their letters and emails - cool bananas! There are plenty of activities for teachers to use in their classrooms and also for clubs including a Music Quiz and several Aussie songs (with lyrics). For those Clubs that have recently received the package, remember to send your Feedback to KGRE before December 15th. Then we will be happy send to you a December Reading Class Set. NO Feedback then NO December Reading Class Set.
