Kang GURU English Language
Radio in Indonesia — Series 60
Kang GURU English language radio is heard on
165 RRI and selected private and public radio stations all over Indonesia each week. Some of the KGI broadcast radio
stations are community and school-based stations and they broadcast Kang GURU English
radio programs using AM, FM and SW channels right across the Indonesian archipelago every week. That is a total
of over 200 broadcast each week — that's almost 30 KGI broadcasts every day somewhere in Indonesia
talking about Australia and Indonesia, education and friendship.
The KGI radio program is a great way to study English and learn about Indonesia and Australia at the same time.
This English language radio program is of 20 minutes in duration. It consists of three information segments. The
program is basically in Pre-Intermediate level English for English language students in Indonesia. Segments include Idioms
Inggris, Quick Fix, interviews, music, scholarship
news, the Australia Indonesia Partnership with AusAID, and plenty
of easy English language competitions.
(approx. date of broadcasts is June – August 2008)
